Well they all have one thing in common in fact you me and billions other people, companies, government agencies educational satiations is they all have websites and all of them just like the ones I just mentioned just now have this in common.
They want their website visited and found by people just like you and me on the web. That is what they all have in common. And what about those website visitors? People like you and me again. How on earth they even finding this websites in the first place; Word of mouth website name mention or trough emails, tv, billboards, books but for the most part they finding these websites with search engines. Google, Yahoo, Bing, AOL, Ask and hundreds and hundreds just like those search engines.
And when searchers conduct something that is called a “Search Query” for something like Apple’s iPod they usually present with over whelming amount of information which is called search engine result pages or SERPS and it is here a matter of seconds were somebody’s or a business website will be seen. And it is top 10 results that 80% of searchers of information all over the planet will click on one of the first ten results instead of sponsored links from Google or Yahoo. Why? Because from very beginning of the web, organic natural listings are the area the people trust to be unbiased information.
Not tainted in anyway by different forms of advertising and by search engines them self’s. Again, this trusted area is where searchers click 80% of the time and it’s a domain of something called search engine optimization or SEO. And make no mistake this firstly competitive search result screen real estate is incredibly valuable.
Statistics and studies show over and over again if your website is not listed on page one of the search engine query results the chances of people visiting your website trough search query is about zero. Most people rarely click the page two; instead they simply conduct another search and scan the same top ten listings. If they don’t find what they looking for than they usually abandon search engine and start with a new search engine and check out those ten top search listings. So how on earth you get your website pages to rank high in search engines? Trough search engine optimization.
